Niklas Johan Arvid Andersson, born on 5 July 1973 in Gothenburg, is a Swedish stand-up comedian.
The first time that Andersson did a stand-up performance was during a competition that the newspaper Göteborgs-Tidningen organized in Gothenburg in 2004. The following year he was named Gothenburg's funniest by Sweden's Radio P3. Until 2012, Andersson continued to perform regularly as a stand-up comedian as a hobby in parallel with his work in IT. In 2012, however, he quit his job to pursue stand-up comedy professionally. The same year, he was awarded the Newcomer of the Year award at the Swedish stand-up awards.
Andersson participated with, among others, Fredrik Lindström and Nour El Refai in the comedy show Badjävlar in 2017, then as a replacement for fellow comedian Henrik Schyffert. Andersson has also performed in the remake of Släng dig i brunnen on Swedish television SVT in 2017. During 2018-2022, Andersson toured with his first stand-up performance, called Medelmåttan from Hisingen. The performance was periodically cancelled due to the covid-19 pandemic in Sweden. From March 2020 and during the covid-19 pandemic, Andersson and fellow comedian Ina Lundström (who also performed at Humor i hamnen) led SVT's program Karantän-TV, broadcast from a caravan parked outside the SVT building in Gothenburg.
Since March 2023, Andersson has participated in the Mellan raderna football (soccer) podcast with sports journalist Erik Bäckrud and fellow comedian Anders Jansson.
Humor i hamnen
Humor i hamnen ("humour in the harbour") was an event arranged in the theme park Liseberg in Gothenburg, Sweden, two nights in a row (August 18th and 19th of 2023), where Niklas Andersson and four other Swedish comedians performed. The footage is taken on the second day of the event.
